Now Hamas Has an Art Wing

According to Reuters, Hamas now has an "art" wing, to join its armed and political wings.

Wielding art instead of arms, Hamas issued an animated video on Sunday aimed at pressuring Israel into trading hundreds of jailed Palestinians for Gilad Shalit, a soldier held captive in Gaza for almost four years.

"Wielding art" sounds so innocuous. If a manipulative propaganda video is a sign of Islamic moderation, what's all the fuss about South Park

It is amazing that media confuses propaganda with reporting, but when their reporting itself is biased perhaps they recognize themselves as no different than propagandists. Exposing bigoted terrorist propaganda for what it is therefore would worry them that they next could be exposed. Note that they refer them only as "...jailed Palestinians..." omitting the descriptive term terrorists or murdering or suicide bombing or jihadist "jailed Palestinians". They also do not mention that this "art" is not "art" alone but a message and threat to murder someone. Perhaps if the threat or intent to murder is artistic it becomes more acceptable to them and can be portrayed euphemistically. It was hardly used "instead of arms" but as an adjunct to arms and murder. Their art was not declaiming the use of arms or murder but promoting them. This kind of distortion in the press is unfortunately all to common.
