Palestinian Kids Abuse Israeli Prison System

Memo to Tim McGirk and your editors at Time:

The Times of London, Reuters and the Globe & Mail have already documented that a lot of Palestinian kids look forward to being sent to an Israeli prison and deliberately get themselves arrested. Israeli prisons give Palestinian kids three square meals a day, an education, and street cred.

Much of McGirk's coverage is based on a non-governmental organization called Defence for Children International. Here's why to be wary of this NGO.

This phenomena is far from new. This story was in the British Church Newspaper in March of 2006. http://dfrankfurter.livejournal.com/72505.html

The Funding for Peace Coalition http://eufunding.org.uk has been pointing out for years this warp. European money is channelled through the Palestinian Authority to provide a sort of terrorist insurance scheme, which in turn creates this absurd situation where children try to get themselves arrested for terrorism. Once in jail they get trained into the terrorism cult. It's all doe through the budgets of the Palestinian Authority Prisoner Affairs Ministry who give material supprt to prisoners and their families, short-term and long term pensions and then by garanteeing international donor jobs in the Paletsinian Authority after release.
