Pulling Press Credentials
At last week's closing arguments. France 2's Charles Enderlin said that Israel's Government Press Office should've pulled cameraman Talal Abu Rahma press card if they thought he was a dishonest cameraman.
So Guysen News put the question to GPO director Danny Seaman. Richard Landes publishes Seaman's reply:
The GPO ceased issuing press credentials to Talal Abu Rahma in 2002 . . . .
Allowing [foreign media organizations] to work freely in Israel does not imply that we in anyway agree with there positions. Like every democracy, Israel provides absolute freedom to the press and does not remove press credentials from journalists very easily. This is especially true for journalists working for a respected organization like France 2. Enderlin is fully aware of this and hides behind it in an attempt to distract attention away from his obvious professional failure.
The fact that Charles Enderlin still has press credentials from the State of Israel attests to the strength, character and tolerance of Israel’s democracy, not the quality or integrity of Charles Enderlin’s report on that day. The question is not why he still has press credentials from the State of Israel but rather, why is he still employed by France 2?

Still, Talal has worked hard (at least for half a day) trying to get his credentials revoked. I think he had earned that much and a bonus jail time for inciting a war with a blood libel. Not revoking his credentials however, is not equivalent to employing him in terms of poor judgment.
Why he's employed with France 2 seems clearer. They don't care about the consequences of reporting hateful lies or Arab propaganda. They are state controlled and regardless of whether their public is served well or not, what they say is France's truth because they are the new aristocracy. This explains what was said in court last week and the general contempt shown by Enderlin.
