Why Not An Israeli Satellite News Channel?
On the heels of an appearance on Iran's Press TV, UK activist Gavin Gross pushes for an Israeli satellite news channel.
Battles are now fought not only in the military field but in the arena of public opinion. With all the ingenuity and resources available within Israel and the Jewish world, and expertise in hi-tech and communications, isn't it possible to fund and produce a credible, serious TV channel presenting an Israeli viewpoint? Without it, we will remain preoccupied with scrounging around for fair coverage on other people's media outlets, and Israel's global image will deteriorate further, with negative consequences for the country's future security and prosperity.
Is an Israeli satellite news channel worth the investment? Post your comments below.

Not a good idea. Which side will they fight on? I have doubts.

Not a good idea. The station will lack credibility. Much like euronews. The right thing to do is to keep pressuring the mainstream outlets for accurate and balanced reporting.

Yes. It's about time.

I think its a great idea. Israel almost always loses the PR war,
so why not have an outlet that could be seen everywhere, including the Arab world ?
What better way than to get your side across than on television ?
As long as Israel NEVER appears weak, in mind, spirit or ESPECIALLY government, I think this is a great idea. Let there be a window to Israel for the world to see and perhaps gain a better understanding into what Israel really is, instead of how she's often portrayed by biased media outlets. There must be at least one alternative to Al Jazeera and whatever other channels bring forth the Arab world to the rest of the world at large. Israel needs to get in this game, and fast !

An excellent and long overdue idea. Israel badly needs a PR outlet that can portray the facts accurately. Also, cultural PR would be valuable to show what kind of people the Israelis are.
Hey! They don't eat babies. They like to laugh and have fun. Who would'a thought? ;-)

It might be a good idea if the right people watch it and the knowledge will be spread. But most important is the speed of Israels reporting news. As we all know, the first heard news are the ones which people believe in!

Yes, I think it should be done. It shouldn't be a channel where someone or something is fought on but a quite neutral channel where news are presented firsthand.
It's not only a question of anti-bias - it's also an important sign: Israel gives not up in the arena of information.
