We must go after Ban Ki-moon. Simply pose the question- what would be his reaction if North Korea would fire 15-20 rockets on a daily basis at South korea. By luck, only a few south Koreans die. But given the odds and how many poeple live in the area, this is really insignificant.
So would he tell the south Korean government to measure their response and make sure it is not "disproportianate"?? Hmm I wonder.

this report should be published in the LA AND ny TIMES papers to help counteract the bias and antisemitism of these papers.

Thanks to 'Honest Reporting' for getting the TRUTH out. It is unfortunate that this is not read all over the world. CNN (Communist News Network)when they tell a story - I don't call it reporting - does not tell the truth, it makes one wonder who is behind CNN...
Please keep up the good work. We pray for Israel and the World.
Thanks..
Paul

Your report on Hamas escalation and the need for Israel response is indeed tragic because it describes an endless cycle of provocation by Hamas leading to an IDF response, with consequent loss of human lives and human misery on both sides. The international community must bring its influence to stop such provocation. And Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai should be made aware of the power and interpretation of words, however innocent the intent.

IMMEDIATELY P.M.OLMERT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE. LET THE GENERALS
DO WHAT THEY KNOW BEST. THE ARMY, AIR
FORCE AND NAVY WILL FINISH THIS IN LESS THAN A WEEK. DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE WHITE HOUSE, TONY BLAIR, MUBARAK, UN. DO NOT LET ABBASS
TO RETURN TO GAZA.
ISRAEL SHOULD MAKE GAZA INTO THE "MONACO" OF THE MIDDLE EAST.
BUILD A LARGE YACHT BASIN. BUILD A
"MONACO" STYLE CASINO. LET BUILDERS
BUILD HOTELS, CONDOS, COMMERCIAL
PROPERTIES. AND POSPERITY AND PEACE
WILL LAST FOR MANY GENERATINS.

I would add the Washington Post to the newspapers where this should be put. In addition everyone in Congress should receive this report or a good summary of the report.

Mr. Ban Ki-moon,
I live and work in your country. How would South Koreans react if North Koreans fired rockets into this country?

Thanks for once again telling the truth about how Israel is once again being vilified in the media. As usual, the international media holds Israel to a different standard compared to any other country living under similar circumstances. If an enemy were continuously firing rockets into the U.S., Canada or any European country, the world would be united in agreeing that the attacked sovereign state has a right to protect itself. This is never the case for Israel. Israel is supposed to just "take it". Why the world doesn't understand the threat posed by Hamas' leadership and power is beyond my understanding.
And, to be totally blunt, why are the Palestinians the favoured "victims" of world opinion? What about the victims in Darfur, civilian casualties in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc?
Such a transparant double standard. It's shocking to realize how insidious this new anti-semitism is. Very scary.

GIVE'EM HELL ISRAEL!
TAKE GAZA BACK

On the A.M.news and last night on CBS local in NYC there is no mention of missle attacks on Israel only the killing of 50 palestinians in Gaza and the killing of 2 Israeli soldiers.Very asymetric.

Israel needs to do more to bombard the media with photos of the suffering in israel not enogh propagander is being used as by the palastinians On the news we only see the palastinian side Call the media in public racist I am sure there is a way to interupt news and saying they are being racist use a few underhanded tricks Say does the rest of the world want the Israelies to just march into the camps once again as they did in the last war

The present situation is the sole responsability of the inept handaling of the situation by the Olmert Government. Instead of reacting to the terrorists provocations long time ago, they sacrified the people of Shderot and let the situation escalate. Now the entire World knows that by condemning Israel, and not the Terrorists, Israel will back down.
Posted by: g glancz at Mar 2, 2008 6:00:57 PM
the world's bias has not changed in so many decades that it is unimaginable how the State of Israel continues to be the defender of its civilians and not the aggressor. Only the sane leaders of Israel can prevent a full scale retaliatory war against the insane minds of their enemy.

Israel should not re-invade Gaza inorder to stop the rocket attacks, to many Israeli lives will be lost. The solution is to draw and publish a grid map of Gaza, for every rocket fired one grid should be destroyed from the air with pre-warning. The more severe the attack the more grids destroyed. If attacks continue Gaza will be rubble. The hell with world opinion because it is mostly anti-Semitic condemnation.

Good job at anticipating all the misinterpretations and reactions to Hamas'trash talk.
All we have to do is keep count of the amount of rockets raining on Israel cities every day and it might be our best argument.

The answer is quite simple but too complicated for the simple minded, unelected, usurper Olmert. Simply depopulate Gaza and destroy all the buildings as the Gazarabians are forced to move to Egyptian occupied Sinai after being warned to evacuate. or suffer the consequences. G-d had no problem destroying Sodom and Gomorah and Israel should have no problem in following through either. Only those who refuse to move out will suffer the consequences, after all, they are the the perpetrators. Gaza must be turned into a no-man's land until Israel can repopulate it with civilized people.

There should be mass demonstrations in front of the UN to protest the shelling of Sderot and Ashkelon, and to show support for Israel's defense of the citizens there. Israel is being attacked and has a right to defend itself!
Where are the demonstrations!!!!
The world and Israel does not realize that Jews support their action.
Demonstrations should be on going. A massive campaign should be waged, like it was done in the 1970's! Where are we as a nation??!!

has reuters apologised for the apparent mistranslation.
it is very important to publicise that.

Once again Israel has failed to present the true situation in the area. Your presentation of the facts needs to be propagated and published in the Worlds media by whatever means possible. The Israelis are totally inept at propaganda even when its TRUE.

Yes, this story[Special Report: Gaza - Israel Responds to Hamas's Escalation]tells the truth.

Excellent work! Thank you! All of us who support Israel shld use this information and contact our local newspapers to make sure their coverage is more balanced. Moreover, a key offender is the BBC. They consistently slant their coverage to put Israel in a negative light. We all need to do what we can to contact their leadership about this. As for Gaza, the only answer is regime change. Hamas officials shld be arrested or killed ASAP.

It is a sad commentary on our society that the only democratic country in the Middle East, is also the only country in the world that has to ask for the right to exist, after 60 years. We do not see this of Pakistan which was created at the same time and under similar circumstances. I wonder why, could religion have something to do with it???
Now today, we yet again see Israel villified by the gullible mainstream media. It is time for we Jews of the dispora to take up the fight, to ensure that the truth is heard. It is no longer the time to be politically correct, we must be correct, and if that is unpleasant for the Israel bashers of the world-- to bad. It is time to focus the light of truth on the those "Pro-Palestinian" groupees on our campuses and discredit them once and for all. We have just had a hate fest in Hamilton Ontario, where the Provost of the University made a courageous stand to deny the use of a banner delaring "Israel Aparthide", only to the the weak kneed President force her to back down. It is time for us to expose these leaders of our acedemia for the "Wish-Boned" people that they are. It is time for us to force them to make the right decisions, and keep to them.

One cannot help but wonder what causes the UN Secretary General and the EU to talk about "excessive" and "disproportionate" actions when referring to the situation in Gaza. Last week the Turkish army invaded Iraqi Kurdistan with a similar mission to that of the IDF. 240 people were killed. The EU and the UN maintained a repectful silence.

Reading the AP news article last night, I knew there would be no information about why Israel was "attacking innocent civilians" until at least three quarters of the way down the page. I automatically scrolled down that far and saw the first mention of the rockets that have been fired at Israel. Our nazi media makes me sick.
