Israel must never sign a peace treaty with the Arab Muslims. The Muslims were liars from the start and always will be. It's approved by the Koran that it's OK to sign a peace treaty then break same when ever the Mulims feel like it. Do not listen to the USA concerning giving in to the Arabs and reclaim the land given to you 2000+ years ago. Israel belongs to the Jews and that was said by tghe one and only God of the fathers.

israel has provoked the palestinians into armed resistance by stealing arab land and oppressing the palestinians.the arabs are yet to match the jews when it comes to terror. israel was formed by terror so now the arabs are doing the same. if it worked for the jews it may work for the arab.
what is happening in gaza now is because some israeli politician wants to further his caree by looking tough on the arab.its election time soon in israel.pity innocent arabs have to die so some jew can rule israel

There are a number of strategic reasons Omert choose this time to escalate the w ar against Gaza.
1.

2.
He is conscious of the interregnum period between US presidential handover.- he knows Bush is not just a lame , but a dead duck, but more worryingly he is consc ious that Obama has made no unequivocal condemnation of Israel.- did he even mak e any statement?

3.
Omert is conscious that the Sect of State in waiting , Hillary Clinton has equal ly had to considerably ameliorate her position because of her once adopting a po sition along side Arafat supporters.

4.Attorney General Menachem Mazuz has advised Prime Minister Ehud Olmert he pl ans to recommend he be indicted in connection with the Rishon Tours double billi ng affair, pending a hearing.
Omert is acutely aware that any ambiguity or obfuscation which the war will brin g about is favorable to his unwieldy political position,

In addition to all of this he knows that if his war effort is seen as less succe ssful or as much a failure as 2006 , a greater hawk lies perched ready for even more brutal action- Ben. Netenahu.
Meanwhile Egypt sits on the fence ; afraid of an arab backlash for failing to of fer some succor to the plight of the Gazans.

Unless and until the separation wall is torn down , the right of return is acced ed to, power lines and border crossings opened , and a final fair and equable re distribution of land is instituted , there can be no hope of peace.
The UK and the US and French would have to be deemed partisan in the participati on of any such body of arbitration.
Their collective legacies are too fraught.

Alas it has no mandate to enforce any of its deliberations .
