Palestinian rockets have killed 13 israelis in 7 years. The IDF has killed countless times that number in the last 2 days.
Why even try and defend this? Rational and moral human beings read this website, and so they will come to rational and moral conclusions, I cannot understand why you would want to print such garbage.
Respect human life- stop killing Palestinians, and "treating them like dogs", as per Moshe Dayan's request, and they will stop hating you.

Mohsin, so Israel should put up with the rocket attacks out of a sense of fair play? What rubbish! There isn't another country in the world that would be chastized for refusing to accept rocket attacks over its borders by a hostile entity.

There is no moral equivalent between a criminal firing on a crowd of people and the police officer that shots him. Even if the criminal failed to succeed in killing anyone his intention was to kill and the police officer's intention was to save lives. This moral statement exists in the laws of all countries.
If the Hamas terrorists had their way there would be zero Israelis remaining. It says as much in their own charter and their actions back this up. As with the police officer there is no moral equivalent between the Hamas terrorist and the IDF that acts to stop them.
The only reason innocent Palestinians are dying is because Hamas is attacking Israeli citizens from within populated areas. If Hamas moved its launching points and infrastructure away from civilians there would be no Palestinian civilians killed. However, Hamas uses the Gazan population to protect itself the opposite of what a legitimate military force attempts to do. Further, Hamas wants the PR victory that comes with Palestinian deaths.
Hamas actively seeks the death of not just Israeli civilians but Gazan civilians as well. It has no moral equivalence with the IDF, which attempts to save as many Israeli and Gazan lives as possible.
The total number of lives lost is irrelevant to finding where the moral fault lies. Hamas is attempting to kill millions of civilians. IDF is attempting to kill zero civilians.

Mohsin's remarks remind me of how seriously separated we all are when it comes to seeing what the "truth" is.
Let us assume for one moment that A group in Buffalo, NY decided to send rockets screaming across Lake Ontario into Toronto, Ontario. How long do you think it would take for Canada to take action?
If a rocket was fired from a submarine into, say, New York City, how long would it be for the United States to declare war on whichever country was found to be the attacker?
Now remember, we're talking about ONE rocket, not hundreds or thousands, just ONE. ONE rocket would start a war INSTANTLY.
Israel has, for some unknown reason (to me) held back while her citizens were murdered, maimed for life and so terrified that they don't have so much as a single hour of peace.
Now Mohsin attempts to do what the rest of the world does; attempt to make an equivalence: "only 7 Jews killed" lots of Arabs killed.
Now I imagine if I looked through Mousin's eyes, I might see this as a travesty of justice too. But I don't. I see a different world.
I see that a 60 year-old country is having to defend it's legitimacy while the world tsk-tsks and shakes its collective heads. The noise is deafening from the dried up remains of what used to be their brains.
Not having the brains with which they were born, they accept anything they read to be the truth; after all, they can't LIE in the newspapers or TV, can they?
Mohsin asks people to respect human life...and we do, but the question is, WHOSE lives are to be respected? Only Arabs? That's what he seems to be saying. Jewish life is cheap so the seven deaths he mentions mean nothing, after all, being descended from pigs and monkeys, Jews have no feelings so they don't mind it too much when their families are killed any more than a pig mourns another pig who is slaughtered.
I respect all life, human or not. But I do not hide behind a woman's skirt and shoot someone and then duck behind her skirts again. Only Arabs do that.
Every human being on the planet mourns the loss of innocent life. It is a tragedy. But not if it is an Jew who loses his or her life, particularly if that Jew lives in Israel.
Unfortunately the opportunities that the Arabs have had in the past were missed over and over again. It is past time that Israel annexes Gaza, sending all of its occupants into Egypt from which they came in the first place.
Egypt doesn't want them, Jordan doesn't want them. They are anathema to the entire Arab world. They have proven that they are uncontrollable and ungovernable. They have given up their right to statehood, they are simply not civilized enough to have a state.
But it is uncivilized of me to even suggest that plan of action. So we have to face facts: There are no answers and will be no answer for the next two thousand years.

Comments such as the above by Mohsin are typical of the very people who would deny Israel the right to exist peacefully and without constant fear of terrorism. Here's a new thought for you Mohsin...stop trying to kill the Israelis, and stop teaching your kids to be murderers and then you would have the peaceful existence you claim you wish for.

Prince Harry on returning from afghanistan says
Your duty is to save your guys if you've got to drop the bomb you dro pthe bomb.
How is the british army different from the Israeli army defending its own population against vicious terrorists to human life has no meaning

Its impossible to support israel when it comes to the Gaza ofensive. In a couple more than 100 pali got killed , among them many toddlers. This is not right. I do not believe this is the right policy. Israel is a small tiny country and I wonder if it can afford to be seen as a bully by the wholle world. Even the US called for an end to the violence wich was a veiled criticism to israel onslaught.
Future will tell if such heavy handed policies will yeld results but I am very sceptic they will.
In the long run Israel can find itself almost completely isolated.
