Rack up a few more lies for 'Honest'Reporting.
If the media adopted your standards there really would be something to complain about.

Americans seem to have NO IDEA what we're facing in Iraq. The MSM seem to feel that if they say ANYTHING bad about the terrorists, it will make Mr. Bush look good, and they don't want to do that.
It's OK to say we shouldn't have gone into Iraq, but we did. We broke it, it's ours. Now what? Do we really want to bail out and let the terrorists take over the Iraqi oil money and the Pakistani nukes? This article
http://www.scragged.com/articles/polygamy-terrorism-wife-stealing-and-nuclear-war.aspx
explains some of what we're up against. How would the candidates handle the situation as it now is?

My compliments to the photographer for not puking on the objects he is shooting. He probably didn't hear the
sound.

I agree that the Guardian should have included an Israeli perspective, but it's not as though attacks come out of the blue. Please remember that even horrible justifications often come out of sometimes legitimate frustrations.
Also, the BBC's original title was NOT biased -- the number of suicide bombings has gone down dramatically in Israel, unless there's a conspiracy to keep these bombings secret. Don't try to make it sound like Israel is still under perpetual threat from these attacks to justify Israel's (and your own) current stance.

After reading the Guardian's report of the Palestinian sucide bombing it definitely shows the Palestinians cheerful about the incident, where Hamas the PLO, etc., nurture and motivate death to Jews in their society and institutions.
The Guardian continues to gloss over Palestinian terrorism. The only time they do speak out is when a terrorist blows up innocent people in their subways in England. Or unless it happens to be the IRA.
The Guardian never met a Palestinian terrorist they didn't like, as long as it's the murder of some other countries innocent civilians, not British. By providing false media coverage, one sided that is, they perpetuate the terrorist ideology and pursuits.
One thing positive about the reporting, is that it revealed that nothing constructive is happening in the peace process.
Thanks to the Guardian for revealing the true nature of the Palestinians, by their own testimony, and futile effort of their cause.

More bias from the Guardian. It is never okay to purposely kill anyone. Only God can take a life.

why condemn the shots and not in all logic the shooters that is the snipers.!!!

People should be very aware that the Guardian is at the forefront of anti Israel and more especially anti Semitic discourse and propaganda. You only need to look at its blog Comment is Free to see how Jew hatred and Jew baiting has become an acceptable mainstream activity, thanks to its Editor actively seeking contributors who hold these views.
One of these contributors is Inayat Bunglawala, the public face of the Muslim Council of Britain and his latest "offering" can be found in the last paragraph of his article at the following link.

Writing to Seobain Butterworth is a waste of time. What is needed is that more well informed reasonable people blog on this site and counter its bias. Knee jerk shrill reactions and even reasoned complaints with proof do not work, and if the truth be known, neither do calls to ban such material. It needs to be left so a light can be shown on it and on the Guardian at any and every opportunity.

There is NO justification, EVER, for suicide bombings.

Maybe if more people read that article by Josseph Farah an Arab, they would be more enlightened! the article stated(roots of War) Palestine:no more real than Never Never Land!, Farah is edito and chief officer of World News Daily.com, author of the bookThis Land Is Our Land, published by St. Martin Press.

I did not see BBc making any comment about this

I think they meant to say, "...condemns the shooting at..." Or, "targeting of..." After all, bullets are not capable of intent.
I found this interesting:
"Whatever their nationality, reporters are neutral observers and must not be regarded as a party to any conflict," the press freedom organisation said.
"Whatever their nationality." In other words, even ISRAELI press must not be targeted. Imagine the effort Reporters without Borders must have made to get that statement out.

Michael, It's always better to back your point up with a logical argument. Unless you can't do it, of course.
And Jonathan, if you knew anything about this conflict you would know that the lack of suicide bombing is because of Israel's excellent security and intelligence. As well as the fence, of course. There is no sudden change of heart by murderous Palestinian terrorists, just a change in tactics - firing Kassams at Israeli civilians because they can't get close enough to blow them up in suicide bombings.

Bryan, I could not agree more with you.

Cause: Palestinians launch rockets daily at Israeli border towns.
Effect: Israel reoccupies Gaza and targets militants and terrorists. There will ALWAYS be collateral damage amongst the civilian population in any military conflict...but it IS COLLATERAL.
Cause: Latest Palestinian suicide bombing TARGETS CIVILIANS (i.e. terrorism)
Effect: Israel is gonna pwn them further.
It's not ROCKET science here. Every round of violence has been instigated by Palestine for many a year now. Let's consider the most recent gesture of good will. Israel hands them the chance to really have a country for the first time ever in history and they just use the opportunity to elect terrorists into power and further strike at Israel. What sane nation would NOT set up blockades at their borders? If they want to be a country, then they need to face reality. When a country attacks another country, it's an act of war. The Pal gov has made no effort to stop whatever terrorist groups are acting on behalf of the cause to attack Israel.
Anyway I don't understand all this anti-israel rhetoric. I mean the jews control the media right?

Bryan, you can't have read the original Guardian report if you think that HR is being logical with this rubbish. The video was imbedded in a story about the bombing. The story quoted Israeli sources extensively, the headline was simply a quote from Ehud Olmert. HR have extracted the Rueters video from that and proclaimed that the Guardian is "one-sided".
My blog (dis-HonestReporting) explains it all very logically.

I have been left open-mouthed by the Guardian video. This is nothing less than pure audacity. Where the hell do the Guardian, sitting in their cozy offices somewhere far from the war front, get the nerve to give this scum the right to justify themselves. Disgraceful.
Posted by: Shalom at Feb 7, 2008 11:17:57 AM
Shalom, your credulity leaves me open-mouthed. Go and look at the Guardian site where you'll see the Rueters video in its original context - as an extra attached to the Guardian story.

I am often disappointed with the Guardian bias against Israel. The video of the suicide bombing gave little weight to the horror of such an attack, and did its best to encourage approval and sympathy for those who perpetrated it. Had such a thing happened here (in Britain) there would most certainly have been an outcry against those who carried out such an attack. Very little, if indeed anything at all, is ever said or shown to throw light on the impossible situation in which Israel srives to exist. Hopefully many of the Guardian readers will know something of the history surrounding the 'Palestinian' problem and be able to see behind the desperately one-sided reporting.

Thank you, HR!
You work does produce results, and withness to it is the fact that the Guardian took the offending video of its site!
When I first discovered HR for myself, I was sceptical about its impact. I even thought something along the lines: here we go again "preaching to the choir". I've never been happier to be proven wrong!
Michael, I looked at you site. You are a product of our suicidally naive "moral equivalency" education. I pity you.

Israel is still under threat of violence, (obviously),the only reason suicide bombings have become "rare" is because Israel has tightened security. The fact that two very young people were willing to strap explosives on themselves, making their own deaths a certainty, shows that the fanaticism has not faded.

Yes, Duïmovotchka, we have to speak out not to allow this scum's (Bravo, Shalom!) hysteria to poison people's mind. Eugenia
