Keep up the good work. Walt & Mearsheimer's book must be the worst book on Jews / Israel since The Protocols of the Elders Of Zion. The media enemies of Israel including The LA Times, the NY Times, the New Yorker and even the Washington Post sack the book - although the Post seems disappointed as they say the basic argument is worthy but Walt & Mearsheimer don't write a convincing book exposing the Israeli lobby. What a hit list! If this book is so rabidly anti-Israel and anti-semitic that it offends these stalwart enemies of Israel, then it must be pure garbage. What sort of Truth is it that crushes the freedom to seek the truth? In the United States no major company would dare to publish an honest history of the expulsion of the Palestinians since such a book would quickly be forced out of circulation by the powerful Zionist lobby. There is in fact a double standard in both Britain and America since books which deal with Arab 'terrorism' are usually published without protest but someone who writes a book about Zionist atrocities against Palestinians is accused of being 'anti Semitic'.. What concerns Zionist propagandists most is not what Israelis think about 1948 but what the British and even more importantly what the American public is told about the exodus of the Palestinians.. It is of course unthinkable that Hollywood could ever produce an honest film about 1948. An accurate account of the Palestinian exodus is not permitted even in a documentary on American TV.. The Zionist version of 1948 is constantly being portrayed in English-language books, magazines and newspaper articles as well as in movies and TV programs that are seen by tens of millions of people..' They say, "The Jews are to blame....but we are not antisemites.... Granted, every review of Walt & Mearsheimer's book is made of truth. But is Honest reporting saying there have been no positive reviews at all? None? If there are I should like to read them as well as those that are negative. There are always two sides to every story and it is not always the case that one side is as wrong as the other is right. You have my email address. Arguments such as Walt's and Mearsheimer's were given the lie as long ago as 1949, by Arthur Koestler in his book Promise and Fullfillment, Palestine 1917-1949. There he states: "To believe that Arab antiwesternism would disappear if the Zionists were wiped off the map is as naive as the belief that the Nazis would become peaceable Europeans once the Sudeten problem was solved" It seems that some people never learn from history and their opinions are therefore, like W and M's, doomed to remain irrelevant! As Koestler said in the abovementioned book "They are living in cloud-cuckoo land" David Turner has the temerity to assert that the Jewish Lobby is alive and well,citing “Michael Palumbo's book The Palestinian Catastrophe (1987)in which he claims:'No widely circulated non-Zionist account of 1948 has appeared in English”. This is just not true! Fully one half of Promise and Fulfilment by Arthur Koestler, which first came out in 1949 and reprinted in 1972, is a blow by blow account of what happened from the time of the departure of the British until the final truce of the 1948 war! Has anyone read tthe book written by Joseph Farah,editor and chief executive officer of World News Daily,"This Land is Our Land" ? In it is a statement that Palestine :no more real that never never land. Mr. Farah is an Arab! What I'm wondering is, with the issue of this book based on their preposterous essay, have some of the more ridiculous assertions been expunged? In that essay, M & W for instance, stated erroneously that non-Jews cannot be citizens of Israel !!! It was that kind of un-researched assertion that showed them up to be antisemites: after all, if they did no serious research, the entire book can be nothing other than prejudicial assumptions against the state of Israel and its friends that verges on paranoia. First acomment to David Turner's gripe on the seemingly one sided publications available in English on 1948 events. Has it ever occured to DT that perhaps the prevailing version is the true one? The Palestinian had the option to accept, as Israel did, the 1947 UN decision on the division of Palestine and then there would have been no refugees but they opted instead to fight the Jewish state backed by 5 Arab State regular armies who invaded Palestine in 1948. Now they shed crocodile tears for having to bear the consequence of their defeat. Does anyone know the publishers of W & M's book? I heard that they took a $5M deal to publish it. Who has funded it Tehran? If this info is correct W & M are just a couple of mercenaries selling their soul to the highest bidder to do his bidding. Walt & Mearsheimer are not stupid guys. Why would that write the book? There has to be something more to explain it then calling them names. Were they paid to write it? If so, who paid them? If it was an academic production, it will be reviewed accordingly by their peers. We ought to know more about the motives in writing the book In my opinion, Walt & Mearsheimer wrote the book for the money. Whoever gave the money hopint to create a distraction while Iran becomes a member of the A-Bomb Club. May G-d help us if this ever happens. Read the original article, Martin. If they say that no non-Jew can be a citizen of Israel and that's not true, what peer group reviewed it? If they say that every Jew in America that argues for support of Israel's right to exist is part of a conspiracy, aren't they saying that American Jews should keep their mouths shut and, if so, what happened to free speech and equality under the law? If Americans can lobby for any- and everything under the sun (and they do) why should American Jews be singled out as the exception? Why shouldn't people who single out Jews for lesser rights than other Americans be called antisemites? Their motives, Martin, are transparent. If this wasn't a serious topic I would be laughing till I cried!! Of course W&M were going to get harsh reviews! What? These liars said that no member of Congress can vote against Israel and be re-elected. Many congress critters have voted against Israel time and time again and were sent back to Congress. Their attempt, of course, is to bring up the old lies that Jews are not "real" Americans, they are not to be trusted, they are disloyal. Well, dammit, this Jewish woman enlisted in the United States Air Force although back in the late '50s there was no need for any woman to enlist, we had no obligation. So why did I enlist? Because this is my country, I love it, and any #@^%$ who says otherwise had better be ready to say that to my face. There is no way that I can think of that the United States and Israel would come to blows, but if they did, I'd have no choice but to fight Israel. Stuff that up your Jew-hating noses and sneeze. It is a fact that Carter's book is not factual at all, and that Carter gets large sums of money from the Saudis to invent his vicious lies against Israel. It is a fact that Evangelicals like Paster Hagee totally distance themselves from anti-semites like Carter and in July more than 3,000 Evangelicals have gone to Washington against the 2-state solution which of course is not a solution but a ploy to try to wipe out Israel. It is a fact that the Arabs under Israeli rule live better than they would under the other Arab nations, infact the others don't want them. As the world tries to make Israel the scapegoat for their problems we have a wonderful God that has set watchmen over Jerusalem. The world, where it has been exposed to post modernist thinking and it's most cherished maxims of relativity with regard to truth, is splitting into two. Both sides are filled with people who believe the others are blind. Relativity in morals is a concept that can only thrive in the unreal confines of the human imagination because, in real life, actually experience makes nonsense of the apparant solidity of false ideals, or at least it should. I will have to examine the recently published SCREED BY (PROFESSORS, NO LESS) Mearsheimer and Walt, to examine their BIBLIOGRAPHY listing their sources. Those references should be almost as uplifting as this Philo-Nazi book of Mearsheimer and Walt. I read all about these pretty slick stories against Israel but all you got to do is read your Bible. God said thet the Nation of Israel is his chosen people and thats that. That means that only Israel has the right to exist and that means that it can be anywhere it wants even if people get in the way like Palestinians. If they don’t go then it is ok to move them out, bulldoze their houses, take their farms and never let them in again. Starving them, and shooting them a litle is ok to if they start getting ornery. It is appalling and very scary that two University Professors have written this book. How misinformed and ignorant they seem to be, scares the hell out of you about the whole higher education system. Do they really think that the United States of America's foriegn policy is guided by a small lobby. As if Ireland was in the middle east, they would write a book about the Irish lobby. Or would they? Hence the book reveals a very scary higher education system rather than a conspiratorial "Israel Lobby".
