Copy Editor Blues

Time's copy editor was asleep at the wheel. How did this subhead get by?

The Many Obstacles to an Israeli Attack on Iran

It has taken out an Iranian nuclear reactor before, but Israel doesn't have a lot of good options this time around.

The reactor Israel destroyed in 1981 was Iraqi, not Iranian.

Of course, you meant to say Israel took out an *Iraqi* reactor before. Not sure why you're questioning the heading of an article hypothesizing 'bout a military attack (whether by Israel or anyone else) on Iran -- can you explain? Thanks.

Time magazine actually said "Iranian" but they meant "Iraqi"

You can see it for yourself, here: Time Story

Perhaps it was a draft of next month's editorial? :-)

Hi All.

I think this just proves the quote made by one of America's best known author's Mark Twain.

He Said: If anyone has not read the news papers today, they are uninformed, but anyone who has read the news papers today, they are misinformed.

I believe this to be a perfect example of this true statement.
