Questions from the wreckage
In Gaza, two terrorist commanders, one from Hamas, the other from the Al-Aqsa Brigade, were killed in a Israeli rocket attack on their car today. Reuters notes some info that raises a lot of questions:
The two men were traveling in a car with a red Palestinian Authority security license plate, the witnesses said.
So far, we haven't seen any other news service pick up on this.

This is a quote from an AFP story about Israel in Jenin today:
"Militant factions have been loosely adhering to an informal truce in anti-Israeli attacks since the beginning of the year."
By media account, at least 41 Israelis were killed and 167 injured in some forty incidents (not including foiled attempts and incidences in which there were no casualties.
I guess "loosely adhering" is a relative term

What does a red plate mean??

Interestingly, a later version of this story by Reuters has eliminated the reference to the PA plates.
Is this because new facts have come to light or because the author Nidal al-Mughrabi or some other person at Reuters has suddenly come to the realisation of how embarrassing the revelation is to the Palestinians?
