Al-Qaida-linked reporter convicted

Alouni_2The BBC reports that a Madrid court convicted Al-Jazeera reporter Tayssir Alouni (pictured) for acting as an Al-Qaida financial courier, sentencing him to seven years imprisonment. Alouni was one of 18 people found guilty for links to the terror organization. Al-Jazeera plans to appeal Alouni’s sentence.
