From Iran: 'Sgt. Shimon's Exploding Doll'

IranianmovieMEMRI-TV has clips from a new video being shown in Iran, featuring an IDF officer and his charges using a secret weapon -- a doll loaded with a hand grenade -- against innocent Palestinian children.

[The actors are supposed to be speaking Hebrew (there are Persian subtitles), but since the Hebrew is so bad, MEMRI superimposed their own Hebrew subtitles. It doesn't seem to be available in English yet...but a non-Hebrew speaker can still get the jist of it.]

Memri should translate it to English.

This is a sickening piece of propaganda, the attempts at Hebrew are truly pathetic, how can people but into this crap unless they intend to from the beginning. Only sick evil minds could have come up with something like this...

I would call this comical, but unfortunately I know that many people who will see this will actually believe it. They will, because they want to, and because they’ve been indoctrinated hatred throughout their lives. Some people can see just how pathetic this film is, but people in the Arab world will actually believe this, which is truly sad, and terrifying. The longer this sort of defamation goes on, the harder it will be to teach people in the Arab world not to hate Israelis, and Jews.

And as long as the West, and especially Europe turns a blind eye to this problem, they are partly to blame for the hatred Arabs feel about Israelis (and Jews in general). As long as Europe is ever so forgiving to all those young Middle Eastern men in Europe who burn down Synagogues, or assault Jewish people on the streets of Europe, on the grounds that they are sensitive to the Israeli – Palestinian conflict, things will not get better. I live in Europe and my experience is that one can do just about anything to Jewish people or Synagogues, Jewish cemeteries etc, and all they have to say is that they sympathise with the Palestinians, and as if by magic it is all forgiven, and understood in the European eyes. Europe, and the West have the power to stop, or at least to curtail this kind of defamation, but they choose to do nothing. Maybe they do nothing because the incitement is against Jewish people I don’t know. What I know for a fact is that they are next, they just don’t see it yet.

Tiferet makes a good point here in that European indifference to Arab misdeeds is taken as a green light of acceptance. So long as Arab oil is as big a factor in the thinking of the EC this problem will persist. Can anyone think of what else the Arabs might be valuable for?

Can Israel with all its inventive power come up with either an alternative, or a universally needed tool of the future which is at least as valuable to modern economies? Now that WOULD be worth a Nobel Prize.

No less a personage than Sheikh Yamani told the BBC's Tim Sebastian in an interview on Hard Talk that he fully expected Western ingenuity to have developed an alternative long before the oil actually ran out. Let's hope is right.
